*Update to Bounty Hunter Guide* work in progress
I've come across my old Bounty Hunter expertise and it works pretty well at the time of writing this, so I thought to share it with my basic tactics.
Expertise 1
Bounty Specialization:
Marksmanship 4/4
Small Arms Efficiency 4/4
Small Arms Accuracy 4/4 Deadly Strikes 1/1 Relentless Onslaught 1/1
Rifle Marksmanship 2/2 Sniper Shot 1/1
Energy Armour 2/4
Bounty Hunting:
Assault Efficiency 2/4
Intense Assault 3/3 Return Fire 1/1
Rapid Assault 2/2
Antagonize 1/1 Fumble 1/1 Prescience 1/1
Absorption 4/4 Deflection 4/4 Shields 1/1
Swift Ambush 2/2 Advanced Ambush 1/1
Cruelty 3/3 Intimidating Strike 1/1 Dread Strike 1/1
Critique:
This is a good setup for me as I use a Tusken Rifle with 1,140 Kinetic DPS and 72 Acid which is good for improving critical hits and with 24 to ranged critical chance is a very nice weapon. After using Sniper Shot I switch to a Dart Carbine with 1,142 Kinetic DPS and 54 Acid which is good for keeping critical hits to a maximum. Also luck and precision can be very useful in any ranged setup. The Exceptional Imperial E-11 Carbine is a nice carbine with a good heat dot which I also use occasionally.
Another option is without Dread Strike:
Expertise 2
2. Now my personal favorite Rifles setup.
Critique:
I created a Rifles template that focused on Ambush and Assault and Action saving and came up with a surprise, I tested this template with a Nullifier X heat rifle (I will post the stats of this weapon soon) against a gold elite mark and the end result was staggering. When I am low on Action I use Ambush (mark5) as it provides the same effect as Ambush (mark 8) but uses half the Action. The best results I have had is with this template, it gives the best results in pvp and pve with Rifles:
Bounty Specialisation;
Marksmanship 4/4
Rifle Action Cost 4/4 > Rifle Damage 2/2 > Sniper Shot 1/1 > Take Cover 1/1
Restless Onslaught 1/1
Energy Armour 4/4
Survival Instinct 2/2
Power Sprint 1/1
Bounty Hunting;
Assault Efficiency 3/3
Absorption 4/4 > Deflection 4/4 > Shields 1/1
Intense Assault 3/3 > Return Fire 1/1
Rapid Assault 2/2 > Innate Assault 1/1 > Enduring Assault 1/1
Fumble 1/1 > Prescience 1/1
Swift Ambush 2/2 > Advanced Ambush 1/1 > Advanced Armour Break 1/1

I find using the geography helps alot, hills and buildings mean a rest between attacks and can make all the difference in a fight. I did try Take Cover with Fumble and it's one of the best combinations I have found for increasing damage and defense, firstly you should make sure you are surrounded by weak red dots, then go prone and wait for the mark at 60m away. Make sure you are not in between the mark and the shuttleport because they will probably head towards that first and find you, also if you are 60m away from the shuttleport you will have 60m to kill your mark.
I personally prefer to be mobile so I tend to run, alot, also gcw stims can help especially the heal stims and last chance heal which are certainly recommended. I'll add more tactics to this thread when I identify them.
